He began his career with the Mark Taper Forum/Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles where he worked in senior management positions for over ten years, both as General Manager and Managing Director. Upon leaving Hartford Stage, he turned his attention to broader community development issues and was instrumental in the creation of the MetroHartford investment fund, a $45 million community development initiative that provided much needed mezzanine financing for indigenous entrepreneurs and real estate developers in Connecticut's capital region. Steve has served as both President and Vice President of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT) and as a board member and officer of Theatre Communications Group (TCG). He has also been an associate producer of numerous acclaimed Broadway productions.
